CEO of Newman Entertainment, Luke Newman (OW2009) is responsible for taking Draculas on the road on its first major national tour.
'Our flagship Gold Coast venue is still going strong, entertaining locals and tourists five nights a week, year-round. But it’s been a goal of ours ever since I can remember to take Draculas on the road. We’ve finally made that a reality, and the audience response across the country has been incredible,' said Luke.
The production house behind Draculas is a family affair. Brothers Paul (OW1978) and Mark (OW1979) have been Directors for many years, as well as Julian (OW2011), Taylor and Sion who have all been involved in various aspects of the business, both on and off the stage.
The touring production mashes years of Draculas signature brand of punchy variety into one blood-buster show, delivering fan favourites and most requested acts, live rock music, sultry burlesque, jaw-to-the-floor costumes and razor-edged comedy. The show has been on tour since April along the east coast and will head to Perth before visiting five cities across New Zealand later this year.
