New Sponsor – Peppers Mineral Springs Hotel
The Foundation was delighted to be contacted by Bobby Shen (OW2003) who has also become a Wesley parent at our Glen Waverley Campus. Bobby and his family operate the beautiful and historic resort, Peppers Mineral Springs Hotel at Daylesford, in the heart of Victoria’s spa country. They are delighted to reconnect with the Wesley community and would be pleased to welcome parents visiting our Clunes campus. Bobby reflected on his Wesley journey and his support for the College.
'After finishing at Wesley’s Glen Waverley Campus in 2003, I went on to complete a Commerce degree at Melbourne University and commenced my role in my family’s import and distribution business. In 2016, I decided to diversify into boutique hotels when Peppers Mineral Springs Hotel came onto the market.
I often reflect on my many high and lows at Wesley. The success I achieved came with its fair share of failures – and it was at Wesley that I decided to turn my failures into success. It was this reflection that helped me overcome the effects of the fires, GFC and COVID-19 state-wide lockdowns. It was my time at Wesley that inspired me to use sheer will and not give up as anything can be achieved. I am grateful to have this opportunity to express my views and reunite with the Wesley community with my daughter, Chancey, beginning this year.
I am also a passionate supporter of Wesley College and the Clunes Redevelopment Project. Clunes has had a lasting impact on many students and the new infrastructure will enhance the experience of the generations to come'.
