Australia Day Honours

The President of the OWCA and all members were delighted to hear of the following recipients who received honours this year on Australia Day. We congratulate them all for their outstanding service to the community and in this our 150th year, one of great celebration throughout the school, we wish to begin our list with the Principal of Wesley College, Dr Helen Drennen.


MEMBER (AM) IN THE GENERAL DIVISION OF THE ORDER OF AUSTRALIA

Dr Helen Denise DRENNEN
For significant service to secondary education through leadership roles, to professional bodies, and to the community.

Dr Roderic McKenzie SUTHERLAND (OW1946)
For significant service to medicine as a general practitioner, and to the community of Natimuk.

MEDAL (OAM) OF THE ORDER OF AUSTRALIA IN THE GENERAL DIVISION

Mr John William DIPROSE (OW1966)
For service to the community, and to the Uniting Church in Australia.

Mr Samuel Joseph JOHNSON (OW1995)
For service to cancer research support organisations, and to the performing arts.

Mr Michael Charles REID (OW1980)
For service to the visual arts.
